Suspense: The Dunwich Horror

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Happy Halloween, everyone!

TheyStoleFrazier’sBrain has an mp3 up from the old 40’s radio show “Suspense” in which they adapted H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Dunwich Horror”!

Even when it seems there’s something uncanny going on, it usually turns out to be a plot or a hoax, much like Inner Sanctum Mysteries. But this Halloween episode from Nov. 1, 1945 is different. It’s an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Dunwich Horror.”

Head to TheyStoleFrazier’sBrain and give it a listen!

Decoder Ring Theater has another story out on mp3!  I love the work they do with “The Red Panda” and “Black Jack Justice”, so I’m excited about anything they create.  This latest one appears to be a space adventure, which should nicely round out the story sets they have.  Awesome!

Happy 198th Mr. Poe!

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

Edgar Allan PoeI can’t believe I’m a day late on this, but yesterday, Jan 19th, was Edgar Allan Poe’s 198th Birthday!

Fangoria Radio, hosted by Dee Snider, just did a little tribute the the late author, with an interview with Lovecraft fan and film maker Stuart Gordon, and many other horror movie related people. The show aired last night at 10pm - 1am, but will have a repeat show for those of you who happen to be able to listen to Sirius Satellite Radio or have subscribed to Fangoria Radio via the Internet.

Happy 198th, Mr. Poe!
