Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Comic Book Resources has some info on the comic book mini-series “Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft”, the follow-up to the “Haunt of Horror: Poe” mini-series.  It looks like we might be seeing comic adaptations of stories covering Dagon, Arthur Jermyn, and the Egyptian pyramids.  Fun!

Cthulhu Tales to go Monthly

Friday, February 15th, 2008

“Cthulhu Tales”, a set of three one shot comics, is now set to be released on a monthly schedule starting March 2008 with #1.

Cthulhu Tales #1“I pulled all my old Lovecraft books off the shelves and just read ‘Call of Cthulhu’ and a few other things like that to get back into it,” Niles continued. “When you think of Lovecraft, it has such a particular vibe, so I just sort of crammed on Lovecraft and started writing stuff.  And I’m working on my second [story] right now.”

Zombies and Sex… All Right!

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

HorrorYearBook’s Thursday comic review is the place to get the info on a comic if you’ve been craving some zombie sex.  I personally believe that if more people would just have sex and stop making it into something wrong, the world would be a much much better place.   Even if that place were a zombie infested, post-apocalyptic, ashen shell of a world.

Crawlspace: XXXombiesWriter Rick Remender (Fear Agent, and yes, I have to read that book) along with Tony Moore (The Walking Dead) and artist Kieron Dwyer (Remains) band together with their zombie power and craft an original, B-Movie story with X-rated flair, filled with adult industry lingo and rotting corpse madness. If you ever wondered if a zombie could get a boner? Your answer is here.

So head on over to HorrorYearBook to find out just in which comic your answers lie waiting.

Savage Tales for September

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

ComicBookResources.com seems to be the source to go to for all news about Savage Tales.  So far I’ve been entertained by them, although I can’t say an of the tales have been really gripping.  At least not to me, but I’ll still keep buying them.

Savage Tales #4Savage Tales #4 unleashes four all new stories beginning with the debut of a two-part Red Sonja tale from Death Dealer writer Joshua Ortega and artist Walter Geovanni! It’s a Savage Sonja tale you won’t find anywhere else! Doug (The ‘Nam) Murray’s “Sellsword” storyline begins in issue four; with art by Diego Bernard, “Sellsword” is the tale of a mysterious stranger who rides into town and sets two families at each other’s throats, but with a twist you won’t see coming!
