H.P. Lovecraft Literary Podcast

Monday, April 26th, 2010

I’ve just started checking out the H.P. Lovecraft Literary Podcast, and low and behold, what do I see?  They’ve linked my adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Transition of Juan Romero” for their episode 6!

Head on over, or subscribe to them on iTunes.  Check out my comic while you’re at it.  Enjoy the story.  It’s one of my favorites.

Decoder Ring Theater has another story out on mp3!  I love the work they do with “The Red Panda” and “Black Jack Justice”, so I’m excited about anything they create.  This latest one appears to be a space adventure, which should nicely round out the story sets they have.  Awesome!

Check it out and SFFAudio.com!

Red PandaOK, I’m really slacking on the postings.  I’m in the middle of yet another move, and have way too many things to do lately.  One thing I was able to do was find the fantastic Decoder Ring Theater!

If you like Pulp fiction, super heroes, or old radio drama, then check them out.  You can find their iTunes link on the right side of the page.  Now hurry up and listen to the adventures of Red Panda and Flying Squirrel!

What PodCasts is Joe Listening To?

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Sad iPodSo what podcasts does Joe listen to? I’m sure its the question on most of your minds. It probably keeps many of you up during the night, wondering what intellectual extravagances entertains the likes of a world famous WebComic artist and Lovecraftian scholar…

or not.

Well, just in case you do want to know, heres a short list of some of my favorite podcasts:

  • Yog-Radio: The podcast from the premiere Cthulhu Mythos web resource and winner of an Ennie award, Yog-Sothoth.com!
  • The Instance: Everyone’s favorite World of Warcraft podcast.
  • Roll 2d6: A podcast about board gaming. Just two gamers talking about games, games, games.
  • Pulp Gamer: Paper games, all non-electric, all the time. This one’s really more like three different shows with different a different focus for each. King’s Court reviews games, Out of Character is just some fun talking, and Inside Track has some very good interviews with people from the gaming industry.
  • All Games Considered: Yet another board game podcast.
  • The CHUD Show: The premiere movie news web site’s podcast. Its a little crude, to say the least, but can be pretty fun.

As you can see there is a heavy slant towards non-electronic gaming here. What can I say? I like games. Yog-Sothoth.com also records some of their long running Call of Cthulhu game sessions, which are actually quite entertaining. Its amazing how much fun it can be to listen to other people playing a roll playing game. There are a few other miscellaneous shows I listen to, but those are the main ones.

So now you know. And as they say! “Knowing is half the battle!”

TDCOSM has been SFFAudio’d!

Monday, December 11th, 2006

TDCOSMI’m fairly certain that I’ve linked SFFAudio.com in the past, but it looks like SFFAudio.com has linked little ol’ me! :D

The Dream Cycle of Salem, Mass is a podcast I planned on doing on a monthly basis concerning H.P. Lovecraft and the Salem, Massachusetts area.  Unfortunately, I’ve only gotten the pilot episode out, and that was way back in September!  I guess I’d better get craking on the next one!  Where has all the time gone?

Make sure to check out the rest of the site over there at SFFAudio.com.

Thanks Jesse!

Free H.P. Lovecraft Audiobook Downloads

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

SFFAudio.com has a sort of mini review/blurb about some HPL audiobooks available for free download over at Voices in the Dark.  Recordings include:

The Alchemist – 1908
The Beast in the Cave – 1905
Memory – 1919
The Music of Erich Zann
The Outsider – 1921 — first published April 1926 in Weird Tales
The Rats in the Walls
The Shadow Over Innsmouth – 1931 — published in 1936
The Street

And just in case you havn’t checked out Yog-Sothoth.com, they’ve got some audio recordings of “The Music of Erich Zann” and  “The Nameless City”.  I highly recommend listening to both, as they were done very well, and are excellent stories to boot.  Theres also a blooper recording of “The Music of Erich Zann”.  You can find them in the downloads section if you search for it, but its much easier to subscribe to the YogRadio Podcast, and download the recordings in your favorite application.
