Jake Hildebrandt has created a masterpiece of Steampunk PC artwork with the Damnation system. Specs for the system are quite nice, and the system is up for grabs in the Destructoid giveaway ending June 19th.

Engadget has for show a short video clip of a steam powered USB charging contraption! Ingenius!
Zombie Cow has made a video game based on Lovecraft’s “Herbert West: Re-Animator” entitled “Carrion Re-Animating”! This little game looks like a fun adaptation of the story idea, and I can’t wait to give it a try.
The game is a strange crossbreed between a platformer and a puzzle, with each relative leaving after you’ve kicked the corpse to them. This does leave the bloodthirsty corpse still wandering about the house and if they meet someone they don’t know,well, it’s only one more corpse. One more corpse that has its own loved ones, and may have informed the police…you get the idea.

BoingBoing has news of an artist who has come up with a great plan. Great for us… and possibly the death of the artist. Mouse has decided to create a steampunk wallpaper everyday for a year! Of course Mouse would appreciate it if you could help this project along by submitting ideas for new wallpapers. While browsing the web for all things Lovecraftian, I came across a quote that any HPL fan just can’t help laughing at… then grinning with wicked delight as they imagine the scene. In describing the problems of “safe” web browsing and protecting your computer on the web, the following was said:

OK, so I’m a bit tired from having my Army Reserve weekend, and a little over a week of sub-six hour nights of sleep, so instead of some lengthy piece of prose comparing and contrasting HPL’s vision of contemporary society with the piece of green fuzzy cheese in my fridge, I shall instead post a few links of note!
