What PodCasts is Joe Listening To?
So what podcasts does Joe listen to? I’m sure its the question on most of your minds. It probably keeps many of you up during the night, wondering what intellectual extravagances entertains the likes of a world famous WebComic artist and Lovecraftian scholar…
or not.
Well, just in case you do want to know, heres a short list of some of my favorite podcasts:
- Yog-Radio: The podcast from the premiere Cthulhu Mythos web resource and winner of an Ennie award, Yog-Sothoth.com!
- The Instance: Everyone’s favorite World of Warcraft podcast.
- Roll 2d6: A podcast about board gaming. Just two gamers talking about games, games, games.
- Pulp Gamer: Paper games, all non-electric, all the time. This one’s really more like three different shows with different a different focus for each. King’s Court reviews games, Out of Character is just some fun talking, and Inside Track has some very good interviews with people from the gaming industry.
- All Games Considered: Yet another board game podcast.
- The CHUD Show: The premiere movie news web site’s podcast. Its a little crude, to say the least, but can be pretty fun.
As you can see there is a heavy slant towards non-electronic gaming here. What can I say? I like games. Yog-Sothoth.com also records some of their long running Call of Cthulhu game sessions, which are actually quite entertaining. Its amazing how much fun it can be to listen to other people playing a roll playing game. There are a few other miscellaneous shows I listen to, but those are the main ones.
